Smart Home & AV Installation Services in NYC

Nex AV designs, installs, programs and supports smart home and audio-visual systems — lighting, shading, climate, security, audio, video and networking — brought onto one platform you actually enjoy using. Everything below is delivered by one team, from survey to handover.

What We Install

Where We Work

All five New York City boroughs, plus Westchester County and Long Island. Every project starts with an on-site survey of the building, not a phone estimate.

Not sure which service you need?

Most projects combine several. Tell us what is frustrating you now — bad Wi-Fi, too many remotes, lighting that never looks right — and we will work backwards to the system that fixes it, within a budget you set.

Questions About Our Services

Which services can be combined into one system?

All of them. Lighting, shading, climate, audio, video, cameras and door locks can run on a single platform with one interface. Most clients start with two or three and expand later, which is why we design the network and cabling for the full picture even when the first phase is small.

Do we have to install everything at once?

No. Phasing is common and often sensible. The important thing is that phase one does not make phase three expensive — so we plan cable routes, controller capacity and network headroom for where you want to end up, then install in stages that suit your budget and your renovation schedule.

Do you handle commercial projects as well as homes?

Yes. Conference rooms, lobbies, retail spaces and control rooms use the same disciplines as residential work — structured cabling, reliable networking, calibrated displays and audio, and control that non-technical staff can actually operate.

Who does the work on site?

Our own team handles design, programming and system commissioning. Where a project needs licensed electrical or construction trades, we coordinate them and stay responsible for how the finished system performs.

Do you work alongside architects, designers and contractors?

Regularly, and the earlier the better. Bringing us in during design means cable routes, speaker positions, keypad locations and rack space get decided on paper rather than negotiated after the walls close.
